Magnitude 5.9 earthquake injures dozens of people in Turkey

  • A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has struck western Turkey, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said, while the countrys interior minister said there were no immediate reports of deaths or significant damage.

    Turkeys Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, which measured the quake at magnitude 5.9, said the epicentre of the tremor had been in Golyaka, a district in the northwestern province of Duzce.
