The epicenter of Monday evenings severe aftershock was much further south than the one at the beginning of this month, which may explain why it felt like a bigger shock in parts of Hatay province.
Ibrahim Guzel, the mayor of Defne, a district between Samandag and Antakya where the epicenter of the severe aftershock was, told broadcaster NTV that there is no electricity.
